Clarivate released its Journal Citation Reports (JCR) for 2023 on June 20, 2024. Food Frontiers, the flagship journal of the International Association of Dietetic Nutrition and Safety (IADNS), obtained the latest 2-year impact factor of 7.4 and 5-year impact factor of 9.4, ranking 1st in domestic Food Science & Technology journals and fourth in Food Science & Technology Q1 category quartile research journals.
Since the inception, Food Frontiers has focused on publishing research papers, reviews, prospects, key points, viewpoints and profiles related to food science and technology, aiming to enhance the international influence of Chinese scholars in food science, and provide the latest platform for the international scientific community to publicly publish and widely disseminate high-quality basic research results.
So far, Food Frontiers has been included in WOS, ESCI, Scopus, EI, DOAJ, CABI and other databases, and has published more than 370 articles, mainly by authors from China, USA, Italy, Spain, Turkey, France, Germany, India, UK, Portugal and Japan.
The editorial board of Food Frontiers consists of 57 editorial scholars from 20 countries and regions around the world, including 18 highly cited scholars and 31 foreign scholars (53%). The honorary editor-in-chief is academician Mingyong Xie of Nanchang University, and editors-in-chief are professor Jesus Simal-Gandara of University of Vigo-Ourense Campus, professor Jianbo Xiao of University of Vigo and Junyi Yin of Nanchang University.
