On August 3rd, the 3rd editorial board meeting of the eFood journal was successfully held at the Liaoning Hotel in Shenyang. The meeting was attended by Professor Lu, Baiyi (陆柏益), Executive Director of the International Association for Food Nutrition and Safety and Professor at Zhejiang University; Professor Bai, Weibin (白卫滨), Founding Editor-in-Chief from Jinan University; Professor Yue, Tianli (岳田利) from Northwest University; Professor Chen, Fang (陈芳) from China Agricultural University; Professor Zhao, Chao (赵超) from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University; Professor Huang, Xiaojun (黄晓君) from Nanchang University; Professor Wang, Mingfu (王明福) from Shenzhen University; Professor Fang, Yong (方勇) from Nanjing University of Finance and Economics; Researcher Zhang, Mingwei (张名位) from Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Researcher Gao, Haiyan (郜海燕) from Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Professor Zou, Xiaobo (邹小波) from Jiangsu University; Deputy Editor-in-Chief Professor Sang, Yaxin (桑亚新) from Hebei Agricultural University; Researcher Chen, Hangjun (陈杭君) from Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Dr. Shen, Tingting (申婷婷) from Jiangsu University; Professor Lu, Xu (卢旭) from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University; Associate Professor Wang, Fang (汪芳) from Nanjing University of Finance and Economics; Professor Deng, Jianjun (邓建军) from Northwest University; Professor Zhang, Tiehua (张铁华) from Jilin University; Executive Editor Associate Researcher Wang, Jing (王晶) from Zhejiang University; Ms. Wang, Yue (王越) and Ms. Gao, Yanli (高艳莉) from Wiley Publishing; Professor Tan, Mingqian (谭明乾), Editor-in-Chief of Food Safety and Health from Dalian Polytechnic University; as well as more than 60 newly appointed Deputy Editors, Editorial Board Members, and Young Editorial Board Members. The meeting was chaired by the Editor-in-Chief, Professor Huang, Xiaojun (黄晓君).

Professor Lu, Baiyi (陆柏益) expressed his gratitude on behalf of the association for the strong support provided by the editorial board experts and offered valuable suggestions for the journal's operations. Ms. Gao, Yanli (高艳莉), Senior Editor at Wiley Publishing, presented a report on the journal's operation, with a focus on analyzing its operational data. Professor Zhao, Chao (赵超) delivered the annual work report, summarizing the progress made over the past year, the challenges ahead, and expressing special thanks to the editorial board members and peer reviewers for their contributions. The experts in attendance engaged in free discussion to offer their insights for the journal's development.

At the meeting, Professor Bai, Weibin (白卫滨), Professor Chen, Fang (陈芳), Professor Yue, Tianli (岳田利), Professor Wang, Mingfu (王明福), Professor Tan, Mingqian (谭明乾), and Professor Zhao, Chao (赵超) presented appointment certificates to the newly appointed Deputy Editors, including Kai, Guoyin (开国银), Yang, Qingyu (杨庆余), Fu, Linglin (傅玲琳), Li, Dapeng (李大鹏), Gong Jinyan (龚金炎), Tan, Zhijian (谭志坚), Ma, Lingjun (马玲君), and Tian, Jinlong (田金龙) and others; Editorial Board Members Zheng, Zongping (郑宗平), Sun, Lijun (孙立军), Xie, Yixi (谢轶羲), Zhu, Kexue (朱科学), Weng, Rui (翁瑞), Zhang, Yanjun (张彦军), Ai, Chao (艾超), and others, as well as to the Young Editorial Board Members, including Yuan, Guangxin (苑广信), Wang, Haitao (王海涛), Guo, Na (郭娜), Li, Zhenhua (李振华), Zou, Yucheng (邹昱成), Li, Yuanhui (李远辉), Ma, Yongshuai (马永帅), Wang, Yuxiao (王玉箫), Chen, Jianan (陈佳男), Deng, Yang (邓阳), Zhao, Zhiyong (赵志勇), Zhu, Fucheng (朱富成), Niu, Haili (牛海力), Zhang, Dong (张东), Chen, Hai (陈海), Chen, Jihang (陈吉航), Liu, Wen (刘文), Chen, Zijian (陈子键), Lin, Yang (林杨), Hou, Zhiwei (侯智炜), Jiang, Bo (姜博), Wang, Hui (王辉), Xu, Xu (许旭) and others.

eFood (ISSN: 2666-3066) is the flagship journal of the International Association for Food Nutrition and Safety, published by Wiley Publishing Group. It is a comprehensive international food journal led by Chinese scholars, initiated in 2019 by scholars from Jinan University, Dalian Polytechnic University, Nanchang University, Northwest University, Jiangsu University, China Agricultural University, Jilin University, and Zhejiang University. eFood was officially indexed by ESCI in December 2023, received its first impact factor of 4.0 in 2024, placing it in the Q2 category of food science and technology, ranking 49th out of 173 journals. Since its inception in January 2020, all papers published in eFood have been indexed by Web of Science. The journal is currently indexed by databases including EI, ESCI, SJR, Scopus, WOS, DOAJ, CABI, FSTA, and Index Copernicus.
